Final Script

INT. KITCHEN – NOON

Camera dollies into scene.Camera rotates to view environment and rests on main character lifting weights at the table.

CHARACTER
1…2…3…4…

CLOCK
(Ringing)

Camera zooms in to clock.

Camera cuts back out.

Camera follows character walking to refrigerator

The character is seen grabbing many items out of the refrigerator. Each one is placed on the countertop, and he begins carefully making his sandwich. The last item he has to place are the pickles. He reaches for and then begins his struggle to open the jar.
The character, puzzled and frustrated, walks off the scene and comes back on with a wrench. He then tries to open the jar, but the wrench slips causing the character to fall off the screen.
The character storms back onto the scene with a baseball bat. Just before he strikes the jar, the camera blacks out and screaming is heard in the background.

The camera comes back into view showing the character setting up dynamite. His hand is bandaged, and his eyes have a crazy look. He backs away from the camera unraveling the cord.

Camera cuts to opposite view – close up face, profile. The jar is in the background.
Camera whites out to sound of explosion. Hamburger bun and ingredients fly in the air and spin around.
Camera cuts back to character who smiles.

Camera follows character to table where the pickles are laying in a puddle of juice with the hamburger bun to the side.
Character stabs pickle with a fork triumphantly. He then pick up the hamburger bun. His burger, now charcoaled, ‘poofs’ into dust.
Character is shocked, and then angry, and then sad.

FADE OUT:

Script

FADE IN:

INT. OUTSIDE WEIGHT ROOM - JUST BEFORE NOON

As the camera "pushes" its way through the door of the room, we observe the main character lifting many, many weights. The camera zooms to the alarm clock that has just gone off and show's "Lunch." The camera follows the character as he gets up and flexes in front of the mirror. The camera then turns to watch the character leave the room.

INT. KITCHEN - NOON

The character is seen grabbing many items out of the refrigerator. Each one is placed on the countertop, and he begins carefully making his sandwich. The last item he has to place are the pickles. He begins his struggle to open the jar.

---Insert Struggle Description---

The kitchen has now been destroyed, and the pickles lie on the dirty floor. The character picks them up, places them on their sandwich, and eats it anyways. Camera zooms out of kitchen slowly.

Updated Story

In the beginning, we meet our character. He's lifting weights on the bench in his enormous weight room. Around the room, we see mats, dumbells, weights, excercise balls, and various other equipment. Roy is just finished doing his most amount of reps ever when his clock rings that it's time for lunch.
He jumps off his bench and does some flexing in the mirror to show how strong he is. Then he travels to his kitchen. His kitchen is tall, but narrow. Roy has no problem reaching items from the top shelves. He makes himself a hamburger. He then grabs the pickle jar out of the refrigerator.
He attempts to open the jar, but it's stubborn. After time of struggling and failing to open the far, he tries other various methods such as a wrench, blender, etc. But, to no avail, does the jar open. So, he resorts to using a rocket launcher. He is successful in opening the jar, however that is due to the fact that it exploded. So, now he has no pickles and his kitchen is detroyed.

- Alt. ending: He shrugs it off and picks up a pickle with his fork that is on the floor.

Expanded Story

In the beginning, we meet our character, Roy. He's lifting weights on the bench in his enormous weight room. Around the room, we see mats, dumbells, weights, excercise balls, and various other equipment. Roy is just finished doing his most amount of reps ever when his clock rings that it's time for lunch. Roy jumps off his bench and does some flexing in the mirror to show how strong he is. Then he travels to his kitchen.
His kitchen is tall, but narrow. Roy has no problem reaching items from the top shelves. He makes himself a hamburger. He then grabs the pickle jar out of the refrigerator. Roy attempts to open the jar, but it's stubborn. His wife asks him if he needs help, but he yells at her that he is strong enough to handle the puny pickle jar. After time of struggling and failing to open the far, he tries other various methods such as a rocket launcher and robotic arm. But, to no avail, does the jar open. Panting and tired, he realizes that even though he can lift x amount of pounds, he can not defeat this tiny pickle jar, and kindly asks his wife to open it.
